Through music and storytelling, explore the poetic elements, emotions, and themes of song lyrics and be inspired to create your own original pieces in rap, song, or poetry form. Participate in editing and performance workshops to perfect your stories and your delivery. Create multi-media artwork (cover art) that illustrates your writing, with the canvas reflecting the emotions, colors, and theme of your spoken word piece. Finish the class with a live performance infused with music (December 12th).
